Clinical Pharmacology and Phase I Capabilities in Wales

Simbec-Orion’s clinical pharmacology unit in Wales adds established Phase I and laboratory capabilities to Caidya’s clinical development offering. In this discussion, the leaders explore a 48-bed clinical pharmacology unit with approximately 50 years of experience conducting early-phase studies. The site includes central laboratory capabilities supporting biomarker testing, pharmacokinetics, hematology, and biochemistry safety testing, along with gamma scintigraphy, pharmacy services, and investigational drug manufacturing. Originally developed to support healthy volunteer studies, the laboratory has expanded to support larger Phase II and Phase III programs, giving Caidya and Simbec-Orion an integrated resource for studies across multiple stages of clinical development.
