Environment
We are committed to limiting the impact we have on the environment and helping to protect our planet for the generations to come, and that journey begins by measuring and monitoring our environmental impact. Our initiatives include reducing our carbon footprint and reducing and reusing resources.
Caidya Environmental Policy
At Caidya, we recognize our responsibility to minimize environmental impact and contribute to a sustainable future. As a global Contract Research Organization, we are committed to integrating environmental stewardship into our business practices, research operations, and partnerships.
We pledge to:
- Reduce our carbon footprint: by optimizing energy use, reducing travel-related emissions, and promoting remote collaboration.
- Minimize waste: through responsible procurement, digital-first practices, and recycling programs across our global offices.
- Promote sustainability: by partnering with vendors and clients who share our environmental values.
- Comply with all applicable environmental laws: and continuously evaluate our performance for improvement.
Through innovation and accountability – Adapting at the Speed of Science – we aim to deliver scientific excellence while protecting the planet for future generations.
Reducing our carbon footprint by:
- Remote work capacity in all countries of operation; currently 80% of staff work remotely
- Reduction in number of physical office locations where possible under specific country legal entity requirements
- Migration to a fully cloud-based systems environment, reducing our need to deploy physical servers ourselves
- Expanding use of Part 11 compliant electronic signature/certification of documents to reduce paper and physical shipping of documents
Reducing and reusing resources through:
- Sustainable sourcing initiative to ensure that partner vendors meet sustainability criteria (e.g. multi-use technology/devices)
- Recommending EDC (electronic data capture) for all studies to reduce paper and manual inputs
- Encouraging use of hybrid trial methodologies where appropriate for protocols
- Employing both remote source document verification (SDV) and targeted source document verification (TSDV) solutions on trials, reducing the amount of travel required by our monitors
